These terms govern your use of Tarasetu. We wrote them to be understood. By creating an account, you accept them.

1. What Tarasetu is (and what it is not)

Tarasetu is a digital entertainment and self-reflection service based on Vedic astrology (Jyotish), with a conversational artificial-intelligence guide called Tara. Astronomical calculations are deterministic (Swiss Ephemeris — sidereal zodiac, Lahiri ayanāṁśa, whole-sign houses); interpretations are drawn from cited classical sources and written by AI.

Tarasetu is not a substitute for professional advice. It does not provide medical, psychological, legal, financial or investment advice, and it will not make predictions about health, pregnancy, death or investments. Guidance on marriage compatibility (matching) is always shown with context and cancellations — it is never a verdict, and decisions about your life remain yours. This positioning follows the guidance of the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) for astrology services.

2. Your account

You need an account (email + one-time code, or Google) to save your kundli and talk to Tara. Keep access to your email secure — it is how you sign in. You must be 18 or older. One person, one account; automated or bulk account creation is not allowed.

3. Credits, plans and payments

Your full kundli is free. Conversations beyond the free daily question use credits or a subscription, priced in ₹ and visible on the pricing page before you sign up — nothing is discovered at checkout. Payments are processed by Razorpay (cards, UPI). Credits are enforced server-side. Prices may change; changes never apply retroactively to credits you already bought. If something fails on our side (for example, you paid and credits did not arrive), write to namaste@tarasetu.in and we will fix it or refund you.

4. What we promise not to do

No fake counters, no invented ratings, no manufactured urgency, no fear-based selling. We never sell gemstones, remedies or pujas, and we take no commission from anyone who does.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use Tarasetu to harm yourself or others, to harass, to attempt to access other users' data, to probe or overload the service, or to resell access. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, with notice where feasible.

6. Intellectual property

The service, its knowledge base and its design are ours or licensed to us. Your data is yours: your birth details, your conversations, your kundli. You can delete them at any time.

7. Liability

The service is provided "as is" within the limits of Indian law. We are liable for wilful misconduct and gross negligence; we are not liable for decisions you take based on astrological content, which is offered for entertainment and self-reflection. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under law.

8. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Indian courts. If you are a consumer, mandatory consumer-protection law of your place of residence prevails. Complaints: namaste@tarasetu.in — we answer within 30 days.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page and, if you have an account, by email. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept them.
