Cookie Policy

We keep this simple, because our use of cookies is simple.

1. What we store, and why

Strictly necessary (no consent needed)

• ts_locale (cookie, 1 year): your language preference (English or हिन्दी). Set when you choose a language with the toggle or the suggestion banner; it stops us from suggesting or switching languages again.
• ts_suggest_hi (cookie, session): a one-visit marker that shows the "हिन्दी में देखें?" suggestion to visitors from India. It disappears when you choose or dismiss.
• Session cookies from our authentication provider (Supabase) when you sign in — they keep you logged in.
• nl_cookie_consent (localStorage): remembers your choice in the cookie banner itself.
• nl_locale (localStorage): your language inside the product (kundli, chat).

2. Analytics

• Plausible — cookieless, aggregate analytics. It sets no cookies and stores no personal identifiers, which is why it does not require consent.
• Google Analytics 4 — loads in "consent denied" mode by default (no cookies, no identifiers). Only if you press Accept in the banner does it set its analytics cookies. If you choose Essentials only, it never does.

We use no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no fingerprinting.

3. Changing your mind

Clear the site data for tarasetu.in in your browser settings (or remove the localStorage key nl_cookie_consent) and the banner will appear again on your next visit.
